Frequently Asked Questions
Are we a good fit for each other?

Great question! Many people are so confused by the volume of conflicting health information online – and they want direction, support, and reassurance that they’d made a good choice in their practitioner. We provide structure throughout our new patient process so you can feel comfortable and heard. To ensure we are a good fit for one another, we begin with a free phone consultation. This phone consultation is typically about 15 minutes long. We will get to know one another, we will learn more about your health history, you can ask us any questions you have, and we will determine if you’re a good fit for the initial consultation. Before this conversation, we ask you to watch a short video about our practice.

Tell me more about your philosophy towards health.

At Live Wellness, we take a proactive, whole-body approach to health. You’ll partner with our holistic health coach and functional specialists to gain a true understanding of what’s happening within your body.
We acknowledge that illness (especially autoimmunity) is often rooted in several complex causes and mechanisms. We focus on stress management, nutrition, sleep and recovery, the removal of environmental toxins, lifestyle adjustment and enhancing the immune system. Our care plans emphasize each client’s unique biological needs, working towards an optimal state (not just the absence of symptoms). We teach our clients how to take an active, empowered role in their health. We use nutrition and natural, non-toxic therapies as much as possible, harnessing the body’s amazing ability to heal itself.
WE BELIEVE that health should be made simple and within your control.
Our holistic approach uses natural medicine to address the root cause of your chronic health issues. Natural medicine helps your body to heal itself, rather than suppressing symptoms with medication.
By working with the inherent healing ability of your body, natural medicine tends to have far fewer side effects relative to conventional therapies.

How do your programs work?

Over a period of 3 – 12 months, we deliver a personalized care plan. You’ll start with our free Discovery Call, move into a virtual intake visit (which is typically an hour long), and then experience regular follow-up visits. We provide thorough testing, a collaborative care approach, and regular education on topics such as gut health, weight loss, detoxification, blood sugar, and more.

Where are you located? Can you work with me?

We are located in Florida. We are also a completely virtual practice so we offer our unique approach and expertise to people in all states and even some in other countries who don’t have access to this specialized type of care. As long as you have Internet access, we can work together.

What does “integrative,” ‘holistic,” or “functional” mean?

These terms refer to an approach to wellness that considers the whole person — body, mind, spirit, and emotions – and works to move the individual to an optimal state. We are research-based and scientific in our recommendations, but we prefer to use natural solutions or nutrition whenever possible.

What is functional lab work?

Functional lab work helps us determine the underlying cause of dysfunction in the body. While conventional medicine is concerned with “what” you have, we are concerned with “why” you have it. Functional lab work gives you a better understanding of your current health, health projections, nutrient depletion, inflammatory activity, hormones, etc.

Are you a primary care doctor?

The practitioners at Live Wellness are not primary care physicians. Dr. Krista & Dr. Adam are Naturopathic Doctors. Our members should maintain a relationship with their existing PCP to take care of acute issues and prescriptions.

How much does this cost?

Everyone’s program of care is different, depending on their condition, goals and length of program. All programs include time with our practitioner, education, mentorship, supplementation and functional lab testing. Begin with our free Discovery Call.
